The 1903 Durbar was held to celebrate the succession of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra as Emperor and Empress of India. Two full weeks of festivities were devised in meticulous detail. Attended by Indian Princes and Maharajah's from all over the sub continent. Massed ranks of British and Indian Regiments paraded along the procession routes. All the dazzling display of colour, and ceremony is captured by this range.
