Trooping the Colour - History in Miniature
Last weekend saw the Annual Trooping the Colour in London, this impressive display of pageantry is now held on the occasion of the Queen's Official Birthday. It takes place in June each year to celebrate the Birthday of the Sovereign and is carried out by her personal troops, the Household Division, on Horse Guards Parade, with the Queen herself attending and taking the salute. The Trooping involves more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, a 400 string musical band and members of the Royal Family.
You can re-create History in Miniature using W. Britain's Ceremonial figures. From Guardsman in their bright scarlet tunics to Highlanders in their strikingly colourful kilts, the Ceremonial Collection has a wide selection of 1/32 scale figures, made of die-cast metal and hand painted in an appealing high gloss toy soldier style.
